Safety That’s Built into Every Nester Table Base

That’s why our Nester table bases incorporate built-in safety features that help protect end-users while keeping the work surface secure throughout use, movement, and storage.

Each Nester table base(opens in new tab) features a built-in latch mechanism designed to securely lock the work surface into the user position. Before the tabletop can be folded into its upright storage position, the latch must be released.

Dual Leg Nester

That extra step helps prevent users from simply grabbing the edge of the table and lifting it unexpectedly, reducing the risk of injury, accidental movement, or damage to the table.

Added Support for Larger Tabletops

For larger work surfaces that use two latches, both handles must be released simultaneously before the tabletop can be folded. This added layer of control helps ensure the work surface doesn’t move until the user is ready for it to do so.

And the safety considerations don’t stop once the table is folded.

The Nester kit also includes a support lever arm for 60″ round, 48″ square, 48″ × 60″, and 48″ × 72″ tops. Once the tabletop is in the upright position, the lever arm helps keep it securely supported. This reduces the chance of the top moving or folding unexpectedly while the table is being stored or transported within any environment.
