Than Fischer joined the Valley Design team as a Mechanical Engineer in March of 2026 after moving back to the Midwest from Florida. Before that, he spent six years working as a Mechanical Engineer in Green Cove Springs, where he built a strong foundation in design and engineering.
As part of our engineering team, Than focuses on product design, improvements, and supporting new product development. He brings a practical, problem-solving approach to his work and enjoys being part of the process of turning ideas into real solutions for customers.
When he’s not at work, Than is usually spending time with his family. He and his spouse have four children, three of whom are currently serving in the military, as well as a handful of four-legged family members at home. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, bicycling, and traveling (especially when it gives him the chance to visit his children and their families).
One fun detail about Than is that, while he was attending engineering school, he had the opportunity to intern with NASA at Kennedy Space Center. It’s a great example of the curiosity and interest in engineering he’s had from early on.
