For decades, Valley Design has built its foundation based on durable and dependable powder coating and table base solutions. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary in 2026, it’s a perfect time to highlight the Tubular Series: our oldest series and a favorite among customers for its strength, simplicity, and versatility.
Looking Back
With Valley Design’s transition from strictly powder coating into base manufacturing in the early 1990’s came the release of our 1993 price book. It was a simple, black-and-white, eight-page booklet without photos, just clear, straightforward product descriptions.
Those pages introduced what would become an industry-trusted product line, the Tubular Series, used in schools, offices, hospitality spaces, and commercial environments across the nation.
The Versatile Design
Built with a clean and timeless design, the Tubular Series features a 2″ diameter steel mainbar paired with a steel mounting plate. While the original series offered a limited selection of configurations – including eight bar lengths for end bases, seven for X-bases, and two X-base column diameters – the line has since evolved to meet customer needs:
- End bases: 13 size options with a 2″ dia steel mainbar and column
- X-bases: 9 size options with a 2” dia mainbar and a 3″ dia steel column
This combination of strength and stability makes the Tubular Series a reliable choice for virtually any environment.
Evolving with Purpose
Over time, the Tubular Series has evolved, adding features to meet ever-changing industry needs. Customer feedback and real-world applications have shaped enhancements such as:
- Folding and nesting capabilities for flexible spaces
