2025 marks the 18th year of Valley Design’s Sharing Tree campaign, and it’s been a record-breaking season. Our team supported more children and families than ever before, setting new highs for donations across the campaign events.
Kicking Off with a Chili Cookoff
We launched the season with our first-ever employee Chili Cookoff. Employees were encouraged to compete with their best chili recipe and bring boxes of cereal for the Sharing Tree campaign, along with canned goods and other items to help keep families warm during the cold Minnesota winter months.
The event was a success on all fronts, being a lot of fun for participants and record-breaking for donations, making it our most impactful kickoff event yet.

Supporting Children in Fillmore County
As part of the Sharing Tree, our employees also participate in the Fillmore County “Sponsor a Child” program. This year, we reached another milestone by sponsoring 30 children in our county – the highest number since Valley Design began participating in 2018.

Food and Winter Essentials Drive
The biggest contributor to our Sharing Tree program is the annual food drive. This year, employees donated 5,714 pounds of food to the Fillmore County Food Shelf.
In addition, team members pulled together several boxes of winter coats, hats, gloves, mittens, clothing, and toys for families in our community.

Making a Difference
Thanks to our employees’ generosity, 2025 has been one of the Sharing Tree’s most successful years yet, donating a grand total of over $16,500, 5,714 pounds of non-perishable food items, and sponsoring 30 children in Fillmore County.
This is one of Valley Design’s favorite ways we support our community, and we’re proud to continue this tradition of giving year after year alongside our generous team.
